What is DiningByBoat?DiningByBoat:Long Island and Long Island Sound Edition is your nautical guide to Restaurants that you can reach from your boat. It is specifically designed for you, the boater – It's an on-board reference to get you and your vessel safely and conveniently to the restaurant via the water. Most boaters know about the “local” establishments, but what about the next bay over or a few miles beyond? DiningByBoat will tell you where they are, and wherever the winds or the tides take you, we promise you will find many restaurants that you did not know about, perhaps some may be located in your very own port. DiningByBoat will provide docking information and will answer questions like whether the Restaurant can accommodate a vessel of your size, or what type of dockage is available, and the water depth at the dock. You will also find Cuisine Notes, which will include a brief description of the type of Restaurant, the degree of formality, the type of cuisine and the specialties of the house for every place you may want to visit. An index will identify the Restaurants by town and state, but the book is designed in an east to west (or west to east) flow order.
