DiningByBoat:Long Island and Long Island Sound Edition is the first book of its kind designed expressly for the boater. This is an on-board book, listing all restaurants that have access from the boat. What makes DiningByBoat so unique, is that the book will tell the boater exactly how to get to your restaurant via the water. It will tell the boater what kind of docking facilities you have, how many boats you can accommodate, the largest size vessel that can dock at your facility, and any special requirements the boater needs to access your restaurant. DiningByBoat would like to include your restaurant in its first edition, free of charge. In order to supply the most accurate information in DiningByBoat, I need your help!! Below is a questionnaire that I hope you will take the time to fill out and return. This can be done one of two ways: You can simply fill out the form below and click "Submit" or you can download the form and email it back at your leisure. The anticipated publication date is May of 2004. Information received up to January 1, 2004 will be included in the first edition. Terry Paddack DiningByBoat Questionnaire NotesI would love to have the time to visit each one of your establishments, but my goal is to have DiningByBoat:Long Island and Long Island Sound Edition published by next boating season (2004). In that short of time frame I do not have the time to visit each and every one of you this year (Oh, I will visit. You will be seeing me soon). So I need your help to get his information into the book. DiningByBoat will dedicate a single page for each restaurant. Basically that page will be broken down into six areas (a lot to get on one page and this is still very much in the planning stages). 1- A picture of your restaurant as it looks from the water; a boaters reference. So I am asking you to email me a digital picture of your restaurant as it appears from the water. if you don’t already have one, do you think you could talk someone into taking one the next time they come in? Please email after the submission form has been submitted, in the email please include the establishment name and the picture as an attachment. 2- How to get to you from the water- This is critical information. Please provide information on how to get to your restaurant via the water. You can be as detailed or as basic as you would like, provide information like GPS coordinates and the channel you monitor. 3- General information. Name, web page, telephone number, address and email. 4- Dockage notes- Questions like how many slips and what is the largest boat you can accommodate. Depth at dock. Can you come in at low tide? Is there a dock master? Is there a charge for dockage? 5- Restaurant notes- This is you opportunity to entice the boater regarding your restaurant, a short paragraph will do. This includes hours of operation and dress code. 6- Welcome boaters- What is your short message to the boater? There are certain restaurants that want reservations prior to arrival. This section is to the let the boater know of any requirements that pertains to your restaurant. Please feel free to visit this section and fill out the information for inclusion in future editions as well as information to be passed on to viewers of the web site.
